Malaysia Chapter
The IEEE Photonics Society Malaysia Chapter (MyIPS) focuses on technical and professional development of our members in the area of Photonics. Our parent organizations are IEEE Malaysia Section and IEEE Photonics Society. MyIPS organizes the IEEE International Conference on Photonics (ICP) bi-annually to offer a platform where experts in photonics from all over the world were invited to present their latest research in their institution. MyIPS also focus on membership development for promoting photonics field in Malaysia, e.g., Photonics Lecture Series (PLS) for introducing young local expert who recently acquired their PhD to the photonics community.

The Topical Meeting on Photonics (TMP2025) is organized by the IEEE Photonics Society, Malaysia Chapter (MyIPS) to provide a dedicated platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration in photonics science, technology, and applications.
This year, TMP2025 is hosted by Photonics Technology Research Group (Photonics), a prominent research group at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), recognized for its contributions to photonics research. In collaboration with Jurnal Optoelektronik (JoE), the conference ensures a rigorous peer-review process, with accepted papers published in JoE’s special issue. Through this meeting, we invite researchers to connect, exchange insights, and contribute to the advancement of photonics research in Malaysia and beyond.
Photonics Lecture Series (PLS) is MyIPS' platform to promote photonics field where local and international experts are invited to share their research or technical updates. Head to our youtube channel to check out earlier recorded lectures. Follow us on our facebook and instagram for future PLS announcements.
